The DAAIR center is committed to the basic principles of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). The key features that characterize the activity of the Center are:
Open: the Center develops in agreement to the dogma “share results to advance”, with the target to be accessible and transparent. The Center is an open space for research on D-amino acids and for the dissemination of the main results in the field;
Education: the Center is hosted inside a Foundation specifically and intensely focused on scientific education. The DAAIR center is willing to encourage the interest of young people for research and technology since they will be the researchers of tomorrow;
Innovation: the Center possess advanced instrumentation and innovative materials to investigate D-amino acids;
Multidisciplinary: in the Center researchers from different areas will meet and will work together;
Gender equality: the team is constituted by a number of women since we are aware of the need to support gender representation in the research and innovation field;
Rigour: the research projects, the scientific results and information to be disseminated are evaluated by an International Scientific Committe which is composed by world-renowned scientists. By a communication strategy at different levels, the Center is aimed to improve the impact and social acceptance of the main research and innovation results.
Il Centro DAAIR si richiama ai principi di base della Ricerca ed Innovazione Responsabile (RRI). Gli aspetti chiave che caratterizzano le attività del Centro sono:
Apertura: il Centro si sviluppa in accordo al dogma “share results to advance” con l’obiettivo di essere trasparenti ed accessibili. Il Centro è un open space per la ricerca sui D-amino acidi e per la disseminazione dei principali risultati nel settore;
Educazione: il Centro è ospitato all’interno di una Fondazione già specificamente e intensamente focalizzata all’educazione scientifica. Il Centro vuole stimolare l’interesse dei giovani verso la scienza e la tecnologia, poiché loro saranno i ricercati del futuro;
Innovazione: il Centro possiede strumentazione avanzata e materiali innovativi per lo studio dei D-amino acidi;
Multidisciplinarità: nel Centro ricercatori di ambiti diversi potranno incontrarsi e lavorare insieme;
Parità dei sessi: al team del Centro partecipano numerose ricercatrici poiché siamo consapevoli della necessità di favorire la rappresentanza di genere nel mondo della ricerca e dell’innovazione;
Rigore: i progetti di ricerca, i risultati e le informazioni scientifiche da comunicare vengono valutati da un Consiglio Scientifico internazionale composto da importanti ricercatori di fama mondiale. Attraverso una comunicazione a livelli diversi, il Centro intende incrementare l’impatto e l’accettazione sociale dei principali risultati della ricerca e dell’innovazione.
